If they believe their child’s car can fly, who is gravity to contradict them? Gravity is only a theory, anyway; it’s not like it’s an established fact that they’ll fall if they choose to drive off a cliff. And even if gravity were a real fact, facts have no business getting in the way of our beliefs. So schools should not be favoring a realistic approach to reality over other, less-realistic ones.
